Results-Based Writing

This workshop is for anyone who needs results from their writing.

Results-Based Writing presents practical approaches to:

  1. identifying and revising stylistic issues;
  2. assessing and "designing" a convincing message;
  3. addressing the importance of the subject matter to the writer and intended audience.

These approaches to style, structure and significance are applicable to any form of writing - for example brochures, memos, letters, proposals and reports. After this workshop, participants routinely find that they can cut the length of a piece of writing by 30% to 70% while making it more readable and persuasive!

This exercise-based workshop is intended for anyone who wants to produce results from their writing. This workshop can be run for either administrative, business and managerial staff or researchers & research publications, such as papers, proposals, reports and theses.

This workshop will cover:

  1. defining the result you want;
  2. considering your audience - what do they know, what do they want and what is required to convince them;
  3. designing a well-structured message;
  4. improving your writing style.
