The human mind is pretty amazing, but it's not perfect. As human beings, we have certain in-built thinking habits or "cognitive biases" that influence how we think. In daily life these thinking habits are not necessarily a problem. But when we're striving to accomplish an important objective, then our success may depend upon the accuracy of our analysis and the creativity of our alternatives.
