The human mind is pretty amazing, but it's not perfect. As human beings, we have certain in-built thinking habits or "cognitive biases" that influence how we think. In daily life these thinking habits are not necessarily a problem. But when we're striving to accomplish an important objective, then our success may depend upon the accuracy of our analysis and the creativity of our alternatives. This workshop teaches participants how they can work around these "built-in" cognitive biases to become more effective and efficient thinkers. In this workshop participants will learn:

  1. to recognise the principal cognitive biases which affect people's thinking;
  2. how to define and explore essential factors of a situation;
  3. how to clarify the desired outcome;
  4. methods to discover and develop creative options.
